Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator free?
Yes. It is completely free, with every feature available and no sign-up.
Do the generated QR codes expire?
No. The codes are static: the content is stored in the code itself, so they keep working for as long as that content is valid.
Is what I type into a QR code sent anywhere?
No. Codes are drawn in your browser and your content is not collected, sent or stored. If you press Save my style, only your style settings (colors, shapes, sizes) are kept in this browser's local storage, never your content or logo image, and Reset to default removes them. The only outside request is the brand logo library, which downloads logos from thesvg.org when you open it.
Can I use the QR codes for commercial purposes?
Yes. You can use them for personal and commercial projects without restrictions, and no watermark is added.
Which download formats are available?
PNG, SVG and PDF. The bulk generator downloads all codes as one ZIP file (qr-codes.zip) with one PNG per line, using the text before a | as the file name. Lines that are too long to encode are skipped and listed.
