Locking sensitive notes is part of MemoKey Pro. You can also export your data when you need a separate backup.

- Is MemoKey free?
- Yes. MemoKey is free to download and use, with no ads. An optional MemoKey Pro, bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play, adds unlimited tags (the free version allows 10), custom colors, locked notes and a background image of your choice.
- Which phones does it work on, and how do I turn on the keyboard?
- iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later, and Android 7.0 or later. On iOS, add it in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard; on Android, tap Enable Keyboard in the app. Then switch to MemoKey with the globe key when you want to paste a note.
- Can the MemoKey keyboard read what I type?
- No. MemoKey is a paste keyboard, not a typing keyboard: it shows your saved notes and inserts the one you tap. It logs no keystrokes and has no network code. On iOS, Allow Full Access is optional and only lets the keyboard load your notes.
- Where are my notes stored?
- On your device, in a local database, so MemoKey works offline and needs no account. There are no analytics, ads or tracking. For backups, export your notes to a file or turn on optional cloud backup to your own iCloud or Google Drive; MemoKey has no servers of its own.
