Frequently asked questions
- What can the contact code hold?
- First and last name, company, job title, one phone number, one email address and one website, written as a vCard 3.0 card. Leave out what you do not need. It has no fields for an address or a photo.
- How do people save the contact from the code?
- On iPhone, open the Camera app, point it at the code and tap the contact prompt to add it to Contacts. On Android, use the Camera app or Google Lens and choose to add the contact. No extra app is needed.
- Are my contact details sent anywhere?
- No. The code is drawn in your browser, so the details you type are not sent to a server or stored. Anyone who scans the code can read them, so only put in what you are happy to share.
- Can I change the details after printing?
- No. The details are stored inside the code itself, not behind a link, so the code never expires and needs no account, but a new phone number or job title means making and printing a new code.
- Can I put it on a business card?
- Yes. Download it as SVG or PDF to keep it sharp in print, or PNG for an email signature or a slide. Keep dark modules on a light background and test it with your phone before printing a batch.
