Welcome to RobotVision. Your privacy is critical to us. This Privacy Policy details our commitment to keeping your data secure and explains what information we access, how we use it, and why we do not collect, share, or store any personal data during your use of our application.
2. Information Collection & Use
We believe in absolute data minimization. The RobotVision iOS application is a utility tool designed to interface with local computer vision models (such as YOLOv8) and ARKit. Because of this:
- We do not require user account registration.
- We do not collect, capture, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII).
- All processing for object detection, coordinates tracking, and distance estimations is done locally in real-time.
3. Device Permissions
To provide real-time spatial calculations and visual object recognition, the app requests the following device permissions:
- Camera Access: Required to capture local video frames in order to display the AR environment and process real-world spatial coordinates.
- Photo Library Access: Required only when you explicitly choose to save screenshot overlays of detected objects to your local Photos library.
4. TrueDepth API and Face Data Usage
Our app integrates with Apple's ARKit. When switching to the
front-facing camera, the application configures an
ARFaceTrackingConfiguration session, which utilizes the
TrueDepth camera sensor (on supported devices).
Strict Privacy Guarantee: Our mobile application utilizes the TrueDepth camera API and Apple's ARKit solely for real-time spatial mapping, coordinate system alignment, and local distance estimation on your device. We do not collect, store, share, or transmit any face tracking data, facial geometry, biometric data, or other information derived from the TrueDepth API. All processing occurs locally, in real-time, and in-memory on the device, and is immediately discarded when the AR session ends. No face or depth data is shared with third parties or stored on any external servers.
5. Third-Party Disclosure & Data Security
Since we do not collect or store any information, we cannot and do not share, sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to any third-party services or external cloud servers. All computations are protected by iOS device-level sandbox security boundaries.
